A drop in new unemployment claims and generally good sales reports from major retail chains weren’t enough to draw buyers to the stock market on Thursday. Stocks closed mixed, with the Nasdaq Composite up, but both the DJIA and S&P 500 down. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was off 15 points, or 0.1%, at 13,060. Broadcasting stocks beat the market and had an up day.
US stock markets will be closed Friday, April 6th, in observance of Good Friday.
The RBR Radio Index was up 5.234, or 1.4%, to 381.846.
The TVBR Television Index was up 0.550, or 0.2%, to 262.222.
