Stocks closed with mild losses Thursday as speculation of a breakthrough in Europe’s efforts to resolve its debt crisis fueled a late-session recovery. After falling 177 points, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 24.75 points, or 0.2%, to 12,602.26. Broadcast stocks were mixed, with CC Media getting a boost from the Yahoo! deal.
The RBR Radio Index was up 5.939, or 1.5%, to 411.754.
The TVBR Television Index was down 1.746, or .8%, to 219.389.
