Stocks sell off on Yellen’s ‘6-months’ comment

Stocks declined on Wednesday after Federal Reserve chairwoman Janet Yellen said that rate hikes could happen after ‘about six months’ from the time tapering of bond purchases is finished. The S&P ended the day 11.48 points, or 0.6%, lower at 1,860.77, falling after two days of gains. The Dow dropped 114.02 points, or 0.7%, to 16,222.17.


The RBR Radio Index was down 1.937, or .2%, to 965.198.

The TVBR Television Index was up 3.571, or .5%, to 757.386.
