Stocks finished a choppy trading session on Tuesday lower as gloomy reports on home prices and consumer confidence dampened the mood. The S&P topped a previous record closing price at session highs, but drifted lower and closed 2.49 points, or 0.1%, lower at 1,845.12. The Dow ended the session 27.48 points, or 0.2%, lower at 16,179.66.
The RBR Radio Index was down 12.533, or 1.4%, to 901.837.
The TVBR Television Index was down 9.455, or 1.2%, to 810.110.
