Strauss Radio Strategies (SRS), provider of strategic radio media relations services, is the recipient of a Platinum and Gold 2010 Hermes Creative Award in the Radio Placement category. The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition that honors professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media.

A Platinum Award was presented to SRS for the GM Restructuring radio media tour, which was judged to be among the most outstanding entries in the competition. For this project, SRS developed a fifteen-hour, multi-day national radio tour after GM filed for Chapter-11 bankruptcy, for GM executives to address GM’s new restructuring plan. As GM exited Chapter-11 and formed a new company following this restructuring, SRS developed an additional seven-hour radio tour.

SRS received a Gold Award for work on the League of Conservation Voters’ 2008 Environmental Scorecard comprehensive radio outreach, which exceeds the high standards of the industry norm. For this project, SRS developed an Audio News Release and an eight-hour national radio tour to discuss the newly released environmental scorecard, which graded U.S. Congress members on their key environmental and energy votes.

“I know I speak for the rest of the staff in saying that it’s an honor and privilege to be recognized as an industry leader by such a well-known and prestigious organization,” said Richard Strauss, President and Founder of Strauss Radio Strategies. “It feels great to continually have our work praised on an international level. It is a tribute to the years of experience and talent of our great team.”

SRS was awarded two Hermes Awards in 2009 in the Website and Radio Placement category.
