TeleFutura Stations in Key Markets Across the Nation Take #2 Spot in Primetime, Beating Telemundo Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Persons 12-34

TeleFutura, one of the largest Spanish-language networks in the U.S. and the ideal entertainment alternative for Hispanics across the nation, delivered its best sweep  performance ever in  Spanish-language primetime (M-Su 7pm-11pm) among Adults 18-49 (629,000), Adults 18-34 (389,000) and Persons 12-34 (443,000). TeleFutura finished the competitive May sweep as the #2 Spanish-language network in Spanish-language prime among Adults 18-34, and in a dead heat for the #2 position among Adults 18-49 (only 4,000 viewer difference). Additionally, TeleFutura experienced double-digit audience growth in Spanish-language primetime during the May Sweep, among all key demographics compared to the same period a year ago and surpassed all of Telemundo’s audience gains. For the May 2010 Sweep period, TeleFutura is the fastest growing broadcast network in English or Spanish, among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 in broadcast prime. Additionally, with a median age of 33, TeleFutura is also the youngest broadcast network.

Additional May 2010 Sweep Highlights
 
·         TeleFutura experienced strong audience growth (May 2010 vs. May 2009) during Spanish-language primetime (M-Sun 7-11pm) among all key demographics with an increase of +57% among Total Viewers 2+ (1,036,000 vs. 660,000), +70% among Adults 18-49 (629,000 vs. 371,000), +91% among Adults 18-34 (389,000 vs. 204,000) and +87% among Persons 12-34 (443,000 vs. 237,000). Meanwhile, Telemundo ended the May 2010 Sweep with a -7% primetime audience deficit among Total Viewers 2+, -4% among Adults 18-49 and flat among Adults 18-34. 
 
·         TeleFutura reported more nightly wins over Telemundo during Spanish-language primetime (M-Sun 7pm-11pm) compared to the same May Sweep period in 2009 among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. In fact, TeleFutura beat Telemundo on more than two-thirds of the nights in the May 2010 Sweep period among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
 
Programming Highlights – May 2010 Sweep
 
·         TeleFutura’s weeknights 7pm series “El Capo”:
 
–          Delivered consistent audience growth across all demographics including Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and 18-34, Men 18-49 and 18-34, Women 18-49 and 18-34, and Persons 12-34 since its premiere on February 1st, 2010.
 
–          Consistently positioned TeleFutura as the #2 Spanish-language network in the weeknight 7pm hour among all key demographics, even up against Telemundo’s new 7pm dramatic series “A Corazon Abierto” which premiered on May 17.
 
–          Attracted two to three times more key viewers in the hour versus the combined weighted average of Telemundo’s “12 Corazones” and “A Corazon Abierto.”  
 
–          The series generated triple-digit audience growth for TeleFutura versus the same period in the May 2009 Sweep period among all key demographics:
 
–       Total Viewers 2+ (+156%, 1,553,000 vs. 607,000)
–       Adults 18-49 (+300%, 951,000 vs. 238,000)
–       Adults 18-34 (+399%, 554,000 vs. 111,000)
–       Men 18-49 (+352%, 479,000 vs. 106,000)
–       Women 18-49 (+256%, 473,000 vs. 133,000)
–       Men 18-34 (+532%, 297,000 vs. 47,000)

–          Meanwhile, Telemundo’s Monday to Friday 7pm-8pm viewership was down  in the May 2010 Sweep versus the same period in the 2009 May Sweep among Total Viewers 2+ (-35%), Adults 18-49 (-34%), Adults 18-34 (-40%), Men 18-49 (-40%), Women 18-49 (-23%), Men 18-34 (-46%), Women 18-34 (-31%) and Persons 12-34 (-40%).
 
·         TeleFutura’s primetime movie block, “Cine de las Estrellas” (Star Cinema)  experienced its best May sweep performance ever among Total Viewers 2+ with double-digit audience growth among key demographics versus its May 2009 performance:
 
–       Total Viewers 2+ (+28%, 815,000 vs. 637,000)
–       Adults 18-49 (+30%, 463,000 vs. 357,000)
–       Adults 18-34 (+46%, 291,000 vs. 199,000)
–       Men 18-49 (+36%, 292,000 vs. 215,000)

·         TeleFutura’s weeknight 10pm hour also grew its time period average over the same period in May of 2009 by strong margins thanks to “Vecinos” (Neighbors) which aired in the beginning of the May 2010 Sweep followed by the network’s new 10pm series “Las Muñecas de la Mafia” (Mafia Dolls):
