Telemundo names execs at KTLM

The Telemundo Station Group division of the NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations announced two key leadership positions at KTLM / Telemundo 40, the station serving the Harlingen-Weslaco-Brownsville area in Rio Grande Valley, Texas. Jose Flores from Telemundo 39 / KXTX in Dallas-Fort Worth has been named General Manager, and Willie Rosales has been named Vice President of Sales.


Flores comes to KTLM with almost 25 years of experience in broadcast journalism. He has served as Vice President of Content and News for the Telemundo Production Center (TPC) and KXTX since 2007. In 2013 he led his team to 18 Lone Star Emmys, more than any other Spanish-speaking station in Texas. Prior to KXTX he was with Telemundo KWHY / Canal 22 in Los Angeles as Assistant News Director from 2005-2007. He started his career in broadcast journalism in Houston, where he was a news producer at Univision KXLN before moving on to Telemundo KTMD / Canal 47, where he served as News Director from 2001 to 2005. Flores holds a B.A. in Radio & Television from the University of Houston and a MBA from Texas Christian University. Flores holds a B.A. in Radio & Television from the University of Texas and a MBA from Texas Christian University.

Rosales has over twenty years of media experience with Spanish properties, including Entravision Communications Television and Radio Division, where he was a National Sales Manager and General Sales Manager serving the Rio Grande Valley, Corpus Christi and Laredo, Texas markets. He was previously with Televisa Properties (Star Channel) in Rio Grande Valley, Laredo and El Paso. He attended Texas A&I in Kingsville, Texas, and Pan American in Edinburg, Texas.

KTLM serves the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas and was recently acquired by NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations. It is part of the Telemundo Station Group division of 17 television stations serving Spanish-speaking communities across the country.
