'The National Dog Show Presented by Purina' ratings, Fort Myers-Naples tops viewing

From noon-2 p.m., NBC’s coverage of “The National Dog Show Presented by Purina” scored a 5.0/11 in metered-market households, up 2 percent versus last year’s 4.9/11. 


The top five markets for the Dog Show, hosted by John O’Hurley and featuring the commentary of expert analyst David Frei, were Buffalo, 9.8/19;
Fort Myers-Naples, 8.6/18;
West Palm Beach, 8.6/17;
Greenville-Spartanburg, 8.1/16;
and a tie between Columbus, 7.9/17; and Pittsburgh, 7.9/16. 

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, “The National Dog Show Presented by Purina” averaged a 2.2/8 in adults 18-49, up 5 percent versus last year’s 2.1 and the highest in the four years NBC has tracked the Dog Show in the Local People Meters.
