“The Secret Life of the American Teenager” (8:00-9:00 p.m.) The third season opener of ABC Family’s hit original series, “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” now stands as cable’s No. 1 original series/season premiere this summer in Women 18-49 (1.3 million/1.9 rating), Women 18-34 (949,000/2.8  rating), Viewers 12-34 (2.3 million/2.4 rating), Females 12-34 (1.8 million/4.0 rating), Teens (1.0 million/4.3 rating) and Female Teens (875,000/7.3 rating), topping high profiles premieres of “Burn Notice,” “Royal Pains” and “Pawn Stars.” Additionally, Monday’s “Secret Life” ranks as summer’s No.1 scripted premiere on cable with Adults 18-34 (1.2 million/1.8 rating).

“Secret Life” ranked as Monday’s No. 1 TV show in core 12-34 demos, Teens and Females Teens, cable’s No. 1 show on Monday in Women 18-34 and cable’s No. 1 scripted show in Adults 18-34 (tie), Adults 18-49 (1.7 million/1.3 rating – tie) and Women 18-49 (1.3 million/1.9 rating).

At 8 o’clock, “Secret Life” grabbed TV’s No. 1 rank in the hour in core 12-34 demos, Teens and Females Teens, and stood as cable’s No. 1 show in the hour in target 18-34 and 18-49 demos.

“Secret Life” improved over its season 2B finale (3/22/10), growing by 20% in Adults 18-34 (1.2 million vs. 1.0 million), by 21% in Adults 18-49 (1.7 million vs. 1.4 million) and by 10% in Viewers 12-34 (2.3 million vs. 2.1 million). 

“Secret Life” catapulted past year-ago time period levels (6/08/09), jumping by 379% in Total Viewers (3.2 million vs. 665,000), by 335% in Adults 18-34 (1.2 million vs. 278,000), by 362% in Adults 18-49 (1.7 million vs. 358,000) and by 368% in Viewers 12-34 (2.3 million vs. 482,000).
