A trial date of May 2011 has been set for Leonardo Drisdel, a former St. Louis radio host accused in the 2005 beating death of a woman. Drisdel was host of “The Human Factor” on talker WGNU-AM.

Drisdel, now 51, is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. KSDK-TV reports that authorities believe he killed 28-year-old Cassandra Kovach while the two were smoking crack cocaine at a south St. Louis home in June 2005 while celebrating Drisdel’s birthday. Drisdel’s wife told police her husband claimed a voice in his head told him to kill Kovach. He’s expected to enter a mental health defense, reports The AP.
