Religious broadcast company Trinity Christian Center of Santa Ana Inc. is buying one of its network affiliates serving the Davenport-Rock Island-Moline DMA and is also buying a current CW affiliate out of bankruptcy in the Jackson MS DMA.
Trinity Broadcasting Network is the broadcast system associated with the television group operator, and is headed by Paul Crouch.
The affiliate it’s picking up is WMWC-TV Galesburg IL. The seller is Northwest Television Inc., headed by Bruce E. Fox.
The price for the station will be $1.125M, including $825K in debt retirement and a $300K cash payment.
The other station is WRBJ-TV Magee MS, owned by Roberts Broadcasting Company, which is running the station as debtor-in-possession. The CW affiliate is expected to switch over to TBN.
The price for the station is $1.5M cash.
Trinity Broadcasting Network carries a variety of religious programs including those of Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, Paula White, Kenneth Copeland, Franklin Graham and many others.
