Karl Malden dead at 97
The Oscar winning actor (for “A Streetcar Named Desire”) was known in television for his role in the ABC police drama series “Streets of San Francisco.” He was also the TV ad spokesman for many years for American Express. Karl Malden was 97 when he died Wednesday at his home in California.
