Portable ad flight to dog RNC’s Steele
Michael Steele, the head of the Republican National Committee, may get the feeling that he’s being followed, and he’d be right. The counterpart Democratic National Committee is planning advertising flights keyed to Steele’s upcoming national travel schedule.
An RNC fund-raising mailer recently made news – it was controversial enough that just about all the Republican leaders who have commented publicly about it have disavowed it, including Steele.
But the DNC wants to keep the controversy alive, and in order to keep throwing fuel on the fire, they are going to feature it in advertising keyed to speaking engagements on Steel’s schedule.
According to TalkingPointMemo’s TPMDC, cities in the mix at this point include Cincinnati OH, Tulsa OK, Greensboro NC and West Palm Beach FL.
