NBC laying off Leno, Conan staff for a week
WGA STRIKE CENTRAL: DAY 8
NBC has reportedly told the crew (non-writing) of Leno and Conan O'Brien that it will be laid off at the end of next week due to the strike. But not to worry, the shows are expected back 11/19 with guest hosts, where the crew will return.
They'd bring Leno back on to wing it, but he's not crossing picket lines at this time-the WGA are his creative bread and butter.
TVBR/RBR observation: Layoffs for one week? Must be trying to keep GE happy.
