"High School Musical 2" most-watched cable telecast ever

Disney Channel''s "High School Musical 2" now stands as the most-watched cable telecast of all time in Total Viewers (17.2 million); and the most-watched TV telecast ever in Kids 6-11 (6.1 million), and the most-watched entertainment telecast ever in Tweens 9-14 (5.9 million). Two-Thirds of Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 watching TV tuned in to "Disney High School Musical 2," Outperforming Every Telecast of Fox's "American Idol" and CBS' "Survivor." As well, it ranked as basic cable's top movie ever, surpassing the previous record holder, TNT's "Crossfire Trail" by 38%.
