Emmis still seeking buyer for WVUE-TV
Despite the softening station trading market, Emmis CFO Pat Walsh says performance has been improving for the company’s lone remaining television station, WVUE-TV (Ch. 8, Fox) New Orleans and Emmis is still actively seeking a buyer. The latest time frame? Three-12 months.
Emmis continues to report WVUE’s financial impact in “income from discontinued operations, net of tax.” That line for fiscal Q3 was 5.64 million, up from 4.4 million a year earlier. Walsh said that if Emmis is unable to strike a deal to sell the station before its next earnings report, which would conclude its fiscal year, the company will re-evaluate whether WVUE’s financial results should be reclassified.
