“Price” heads to primetime

CBS has scheduled “The Price is Right” for a primetime outing next week, airing Friday, February 22nd 8-9 pm ET/PT. It will be the first primetime special for the long-running daytime game show since Drew Carey took over as host for Bob Barker. As with previous primetime specials, the stakes are a bit higher for the contestants.

During the special airing, one classic "Price is Right" game will be revealed as the "Million Dollar Game," during which a contestant will have the chance to win one million dollars while playing that game.  In addition, during the Showcase at the end of each show, should one contestant guess the cost of the Showcase within a thousand bucks without going over, that contestant will win one million dollars, in addition to both Showcases.
