NC Dem debate pulled from schedule

Technically, although the date 4/27/08 had been circled in pencil, there never was a debate in the works, since only Hillary Clinton (D-NY) ever agreed to participate in an event to be hosted by the North Carolina Democratic Party and aired on CBS Television. Barack Obama (D-IL) did not agree, citing logistics and the fact that there have been enough debates already. In a statement, NCDP also said "...there were growing concerns abouit that another debate would do to party unity."

Both candidates are slated to appear at NCDP's Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner on 5/2/08 in Raleigh.

RBR/TVBR observation: Maybe at least one piece of rubber chicken will contain a wishbone, which can be used to settle this campaign once and for all.
