Reilly lands on his feet at Fox
Less than two months after being pushed out at NBC to make way for the new team (5/30/07 TVBR #105), Kevin Reilly has been hired by Fox as President, Entertainment. He will report to Peter Liguori, who has been promoted to Chairman, Entertainment, in the reorganization announced late yesterday by News Corporation President and COO Peter Chernin.
"When Peter Liguori approached me with the idea of re-teaming with Kevin Reilly, I thought it was a bold move to redefine the structure of the network behind a pair of dynamic executives who have a proven track record of advancing the medium," said Chernin.
Liguori and Reilly had worked together from 2000 to 2003 at News Corporation's FX cable channel, where Liguori was President and CEO and Reilly was President of Entertainment. The reorganization of Fox does have one casualty, with Exec. VP of Programming Craig Erwich now on the street.
