Shifts at Scripps

Bob Silva has been named Vice President and General Manager of WXYZ-TV (Ch. 7, ABC) Detroit, succeeding Grace Gilchrist, who had previously announced plans to retire at the end of this year. Succeeding Silva as VP of Sales for the Scripps Television Station Group is Brian Lawlor, currently VP/GM of WPTV-TV (Ch. 5, NBC) West Palm Beach. The job changes are effective New Year's Day, with Lawlor's successor in Florida yet to be named.
