CW sells Sunday primetime
Calling it “a win for all involved – affiliates, advertisers and viewers,” CW COO John Maata announced a deal to turn over the network’s Sunday primetime block to Media Rights Capital (MRC). The strategic alliance was jointly revealed by Maata, CW President/Entertainment Dawn Ostroff and MRC President Keith Samples. Effective this fall, MRC will program Sunday nights for the 2008-’09 season on CW with two new comedies and two new dramas. Stay tuned for details of the four new shows, which are to be announced soon.
