‘So You Think You Can Dance’ helps win night in 18-34 demo
Last night, FOX was the only network to see week to week gains among Adults 18-49 (+4%) while ABC, CBS and NBC all showed declines (-16%, -6% and -6%, respectively).
From 8-10pm, the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE performance show posted a 2.4/7 among Adults 18-49, up versus last week by +4% in both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and +3% in Total Viewers.
In head to head competition in the 9p hour SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE outperformed ABC’s Dancing With The Stars results show by +26% in they key young adults 18-34 demo (2.4/7 vs. 1.9/6).
Overall, FOX won the night among Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34.
Competition
Week three of new ABC drama V (3.1/8) posted its lowest rating to date, falling -18% from last week’s telecast and -40% versus its premiere (5.2/14). Dancing With The Stars (3.2/8) and The Forgotten (1.9/5) were both about average.
CBS’ NCIS (4.1/11) posted its lowest rating of the season while NCIS: LA (3.4/9) and The Good Wife (2.6/8) were their lowest yet, dropping -9%, -11% and -10% respectively from their 2009/10 first-run averages (4.5/13, 3.8/10 & 2.9/8).
Following the animated holiday special Merry Madagascar (2.9/8), NBC’s The Biggest Loser 8 (3.7/10) and The Jay Leno Show (2.0/6) were on par with their averages.
