‘The Simpson’s’ and 'The Cleveland Show’ deliver for Fox

Last night,11/29/09,  FOX’s 8-10p animation block showed an +18% week over week gain among Adults 18-49 while every other network suffered declines with regular programming. In addition, the animated comedies gained +20% among Adults 18-34 and +13% in Total Viewers.
 
THE SIMPSONS posted a 4.2/10 among Adults 18-49 and so far this season has improved upon its Fall'08 average by +8% among Adults 18-49, +7% among Adults 18-34, and +5% in Total Viewers. THE SIMPSONS is also up versus last week, gaining +27% among Adults 18-49.

At 8:30p THE CLEVELAND SHOW delivered a 3.5/8 among Adults 18-49, up +6% compared to last week. So far this season THE CLEVELAND SHOW has outperformed last year’s King Of The Hill Fall average by +30% among Adults 18-49, +37% among Adults 18-34 and +22% in Total Viewers.

At 9p FAMILY GUY posted a 4.4/10 among Adults 18-49, up +13% from last week. For the 09/10 season FAMILY GUY has exceeded its Fall'08 average by +18% among Adults 18-49, +19% among Adults 18-34 and +13% in Total Viewers.
 
AMERICAN DAD at 9:30p posted a 3.3/8 among Adults 18-49 and so far this season has outperformed last year’s Fall delivery by +14% among Adults 18-49, +11% among Adults 18-34 and +8% in Total Viewers. AMERICAN DAD was up +18% versus last week.

FOX’s animated comedies combined with the NFL over-run to rank No. 2 for the night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and No. 1 in Teens. 

Competition
ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos (2.1/6) was about average, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (3.0/7) tied for its lowest rated telecast of the season, and Desperate Housewives (4.3/10) posted its lowest rating of the season -- down -14% from its previous telecast on 11/15/09.  At 10p, Brothers & Sisters (3.0/8) was down -6% versus its previous telecast.

On CBS, 60 Minutes (2.6/7) was in line for a night without an NFL lead-in.  Amazing Race 15 (3.4/8) was down -8% week over week and was followed by the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, A Dog Named Christmas (2.1/5).

Due to the nature of live sports, Fast Nationals for NBC are approximate. In addition, note that NBC’s 7p NFL Pre-Game will be sustained by Nielsen.  Following Football Night In America at 7p (2.2/6), 730p (3.1/8) and 8p (4.9/12), NBC’s Sunday Night Football Game 12: Steelers vs. Ravens delivered a 6.6/16 from 830-11p, up from last week’s Game 11 (Eagles vs. Bears) which posted a 5.6/14 in the Fast Nationals before rising to a 6.6/17 from 8:31-11:27p in the Finals.
