NBC’s Saturday encore line-up holds; ‘SNL’ w/ Vampire Weekend #1
From 8-9 p.m., an encore telecast of Tuesday's debut of PARENTHOOD (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall) scored NBC's top non-sports results in the time period since December 12 in 18-49 and total viewers. From its first half-hour to its second, PARENTHOOD increased its 18-49 rating by 29 percent (to a 0.9 from a 0.7) and its women 18-49 rating by 50 percent (1.2 vs. 0.8). In the time period, PARENTHOOD is currently tied for #2 among the major networks in adults, men and women 18-34.
At 9 p.m., a rebroadcast of LAW & ORDER (1.0/3 in 18-49 and 4.8 million viewers overall) scored NBC's highest non-sports rating in the time slot since December 12 in 18-49 and the network's biggest overall audience in the hour, excluding sports, since November 7. From its first half-hour to its second, L&O increased its 18-49 rating by 22 percent (to a 1.1 from a 0.9) and its overall viewership by 13 percent (5.1 million vs. 4.5 million).
At 10 p.m., an encore telecast of LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT (1.4/5 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall) is currently tied for #1 in the time period among the major networks in adults 18-49 and is #1 outright in adults 18-34, women 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54. This marks the fifth consecutive night NBC has finished #1 or tied for #1 in 18-49 during the 10 p.m. hour. LAW & ORDER: SVU matched its highest Saturday 18-49 rating since January 4.
In late-night metered-market households Saturday night
SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, hosted by Zach Galifianakis and featuring musical guest Vampire Weekend, dominated its time period with a 5.0/12 in metered-market households. SNL is the #1 program of the night in the metered markets, topping all primetime telecasts on all the major networks.
Versus the same night last year, SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE is up 2% in the metered markets (5.0 vs. 4.9).
