CBS News 'Face The Nation' wins 'Boomers'
"Face the Nation" Beats ABC in Households and Viewers; Posts Year-to-Year Gains in Key Demographics
CBS News' FACE THE NATION placed first in "boomers" adults 35-54 and tied for first in adults 25-54 and men 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, July 25. FACE THE NATION also beat ABC in households and viewers.
The CBS broadcast posted a 1.8/06 with 2.59m viewers and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54, 1.0/05 in "boomers" adults 35-54 and 0.7/04 in men 25-54.
Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was up +6% in households (from 1.7/05), +5% in viewers (from 2.47m), +33% in adults 25-54 (from 0.6/03), +17% in men 25-54 (from 0.6/03) and +25% in adults 35-54 (from 0.8/04).
The topic of the broadcast was "Race in America." On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer interviewed Abigail Thernstrom, U.S. Commission on Civil Rights; Michael Eric Dyson of Georgetown University; Wall Street Journal columnist John Fund; Washington Post columnist Michael Gerson; and Cornel West of Princeton University.
