Close encounter in Cleveland
Radiant Life Ministries will be bringing its brand of religious programming to WOAC-TV Canton, serving the Cleveland-Akron-Canton DMA, now that it is officially in control of the station. According to brokerage Kalil & Co., RLM paid $7M for the station, which was peddled by trustee Lee Shubert on behalf of MTB Cleveland Operator, which in turn refers to Multicultural Television Broadcasting. Multicultural has a relatively long history running ethnic radio, but its foray into television with this and other stations formerly owned by E.W. Scripps didn’t take.
