Viles gets toehold in NY capital

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

Daniel F. Viles Jr. and his Cable Ad Net New York Inc. are getting low-budget entry into the Albany-Schenectady-Troy NY DMA with a Cobleskill NY low power television station. WYBN-LP is coming from the Adullam Gospel Church, headed by Richard Smith, for $15K.

The compensation package is a little unusual. CANNY will put $500 into escrow, put up $4.5K in cash at closing, strike a promissory note for $2.5K, and then will grant $7.5K worth of advertising on its totally unrelated cable advertising network (including access to numerous well-known basic cable services) good for a two-year period.
