Fox clears divestiture hurdle
The Federal Trade Commission said it's OK for News Corp. to sell eight Fox television stations to Oak Hill Capital Partners. The FCC still has to weigh in on the deal, expected to close in Q3 of this year. The stations, all of which are Fox Network O&Os, include WJW-TV Cleveland OH; KDVR-TV & KFCT-TV Denver CO; WITI-TV Milwaukee WI; KTVI-TV St. Louis MO; KSTU-TV Salt Lake City UT; WBRC-TV Birmingham AL; and WGHP-TV Greensboro-Winston Salem-High Point NC. A ninth station, WDAF-TV Kansas City MO, is being transferred to Oak Hill in a related stock transaction.
