Martha Stewart, Emeril Lagasse nuptials announced

No, they aren't getting married, but Emeril's television and print assets are being acquired by Martha Stewart Omnimedia in a deal announced at 50M, with the potential to increase to 70M. Included in the deal are programs "The Essence of Emeril" and "Emeril Live," along with lines of cookbooks and cookware. Emeril will be keeping his restaurants and corporate HQ. The move was hailed by at least one analyst. According to Reuters, RBC Capital's David Bank said that it's always good to diversify the portfolio, and this will bring a star-studded brand to go along with Stewart.
