Close encounter in Lexington
Morris Multimedia has a new market to call its largest, and Media General’s television portfolio is one station lighter. The acquisition of WTVQ-TV by Morris is now officially on the books. The ABC affiliate carried a price tag of $16.5M. It is part of a liquidation/portfolio pruning project that is expected to bring in about $100M-$105M for Media General.
