Spike launches broadband player; new content

Spike TV is giving guys all the action they can handle with the launch of their new broadband player on spiketv.com. This latest launch continues Spike's multiplatform digital strategy that has seen the rebirth of its Web site as an all Flash, video-centric experience, the first live webcast and innovative "cam-in" feature where online users could interact with Spike talent live during events and the introduction of irresistible women onto the site with the creation of the "Babe-a-lizer."

The original digital programs launching on spiketv.com

"Rattlesnake Raceway:" A show about a group of everyday men who become local heroes on a dirt racetrack 100 miles outside of Reno, Nevada.

"Enduro at Erzberg:" Imagine taking America's most popular motocross riders and dropping them into Europe's largest copper mine in Central Austria.

"Geek-Ray-Vision:" Brings viewers a weekly inside scoop on the coolest films, music, gadgets, comic books and video games from the hottest geek locations.

"Spike's Hottest Bartenders: NYC" (working title): Follow spiketv.com as they go searching for the wildest bars, with the sickest drinks.

"Gathering of the Pack:" This Web series is a graphical portrayal of Full Contact Stick fighting from the Dog Brother's "System of many Styles" that features a combination of Filipino Martial Arts and other fighting skills.

"Buddy's Garage:" Building off the hard pounding demolition action of spiketv.com's "Rattlesnake Raceway," "Buddy's Garage" lets fans be treated to the hard-hitting annihilation of Demo action, when metal scrapes metal and the behind the scenes action back at the ranch house garage as Buddy and his team gut and build their distinctive brand of demolition cars.

"Burning at the Thunderdome:" The Death Guild, a motley crew of Silicon Valley misfits, build, run and maintain the Thunderdome at the Annual Burning Man Festival in Nevada.
