This week's transaction value not only returned to triple-digit million territory after a week off, it almost precisely matched the two-week prior total, missing by less than 400K. And like that week, almost all of the value came from one contract, LIN's sale of its Puerto Rico television stations to InterMedia. 10 radio agreements kicked in only another 12M between them.

InterMedia buys into the Caribbean
LIN Television Corporation decided to spin off its seven Puerto Rico television stations - WJPX-TV/WAPA-TV San Juan PR, WNJX-TV Mayaguez PR, WKPV-TV/WTIN-TV Ponce PR, WJWN-TV San Sebastion PR & WIRS-TV Yauco - and InterMedia Partners picked it up for 130M.
Radio Deal of the Week
Staton on both ends of GA deal
Cecil Staton Jr. is selling an AM and four FMs in Georgia, three in the Macon market, for 3.9M. Joe Sam Robinson Jr.'s Georgia Eagle Broadcasting is the buyer, and Staton is listed as one of its principals. Stations include WCEH-AM/WRPG-FM Hawkinsville & WQYX-FM Cordele in the Macon market; plus WPMX-FM Statesboro & WHKN-FM Millen GA. Robinson already owns WNNG-AM Warner Robins.
