Foundation golf tourney sold out
If you were thinking about competing in the 2005 Broadcasters' Foundation Celebrity Golf Tournament, you've waited too long. Co-Chairs Stu Olds of Katz Media and Peter Smyth of Greater Media announced that it is completely sold out. The Celebrity Golf Tournament, celebrating its fifth year, will be played at the renowned Trump National Golf Club in Briarcliff Manor, NY on Monday, September 19th. Thirty-two foursomes, each paired with a celebrity from radio, television and the sports world will participate. But while all of the foursomes are filled, a limited number of places are available for individuals who would like to attend the reception and dinner only. Mercury Award finalists named
Finalists in the 14th annual Radio-Mercury Awards competition were announced by the Radio Creative Fund. Garnering the largest number of entries ever, the 2005 Radio-Mercury Awards competition saw entry increases in almost every category. This year also marked the debut of the 30-Second Category. Winners will be announced and over $160,000 in cash prizes will be awarded at a gala, invitation-only luncheon and awards ceremony on Wednesday, June 8th at the landmark Cipriani on 42nd Street in New York City.
