It was a huge week for filing television transactions. Six separate contracts came in, involving 18 separate full-power stations. Peeking ahead, there is a lot more action to come as television trading really takes off. All told, just under a 1B dollars changed hands.

Four on the floor for Media General
Media General agreed to pick up four large-market NBC O&Os for 595M, more than doubling the value of another multiple sale from Raycom to Barrington. MG gets into Providence RI, Raleigh-Durham NC, Columbus OH & Birmingham AL. It'll have to spin one out of Birmingham.
Radio Deal of the Week
Getting the 'LIE of the island
WLIE-AM in the Long Island, or as it is known to Arbitron, the Nassau-Suffolk market, is going from Long Island Multimedia to Starboard Media Foundation for 14M, the top radio action in an extremely busy television week.
