TWC’s Marcus discusses possible sale

Time Warner CableCFO Rob Marcus will take over as CEO of Time Warner Cable on 1/1, replacing Glenn Britt. Most everyone knows the company is mulling offers, but a bit more on that came out in an interview with Bloomberg 12/5. Marcus has a message for TWC shareholders: “I am the perfect guy to manage the M&A component out there. As much as I’d like to be modest, I am kind of built to manage situations like this.”


Indeed, Marcus’s background as Time Warner Inc.’s head of mergers from 2003 to 2005 — and his later years as CFO of TWC have given him the experience to know a good deal when he sees it, he said
