Two editions of 'America's Got Talent' paced NBC in win list last week

Week 43: Paced by two editions of “America’s Got Talent,” which were the top two non-sports telecasts of the week in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures, NBC averaged a 1.4 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers overall for the week of July 12-18.


The Tuesday and Wednesday editions of “America’s Got Talent” were the #1 and #2 non-sports programs of the week in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers, trailing only Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game.

An edition of “America’s Got Talent” has been the #1 non-sports telecast in total viewers every week the show has aired this summer, a streak that has now reached seven weeks in a row.  In adults 18-49, “Talent” has generated the #1 non-sports rating for the last five weeks in a row.

Also ranking among the top 20 programs for the July 12-18 week in primetime’s key demographic of adults 18-49 were Wednesday’s “Minute to Win It” (#15, tied) and Monday’s “Last Comic Standing” (#19, tied).

Primetime averages for the week of July 12-18 in adults 18-49 were Fox (1.9/6), ABC (1.5/5), NBC (1.4/5), CBS (1.3/4) and CW (0.4/1).  In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (6.0 million), Fox (5.6 million), NBC (5.1 million), ABC (5.0 million) and CW (1.0 million).
