U.S. Rep. Schrader gets stalking order against station owner

An Oregon judge has ordered a Newport, OR radio station owner to stay away from U.S. Rep. Kurt Schrader and stop hounding him with emails and phone calls. Schrader says in court documents that 68-year-old Cheryl McAnally Harle, owner of Agpal Broadcasting’s KCUP-AM and KPPT-FM, thinks they have a romantic relationship and says she’s bombarded him with messages: sending 800 emails in a little more than four months, for example, reports The AP.

The Oregonian quotes a Schrader aide as saying the two had no social or business contact other than Schrader’s appearances on her talk radio show a few times.

The stalking order was granted 6/19 by Judge Katherine Weber.
