Univision #1 Network in America on Friday Night among Adults 18-34

Univision was the #1 network on Friday in overall prime with nearly 800,000 Adults 18-34 viewers.
 
Univision finished as the 5th most-watched network for the entire week in primetime with 3.1 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.6 million Adults 18-49 and 831,000 Adults 18-34, out-delivering CW. Additionally, Univision ranked #2 among Kids 2-11 (401,000) for the fifth consecutive week in overall prime.
 
Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX on 4 out of 7 nights last week among Adults 18-34 and Persons 12-34.
 


On every single weeknight last week, Univision’s “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money) finished within the Top 5 most-watched programs on television, delivering more Adults 18-34 viewers than such English-language primetime programs as ABC’s “Flashforward,” and “Wife Swap;” CBS’ “Ghost Whisperer,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “NCIS,” and “Rules of Engagement;” NBC’s “Chuck” and “Who Do You Think You Are;” FOX’s “Bones” and “Human Target;” and CW’s entire line-up which consisted of “90210,” “America’s Next Top Model,” “Gossip Girl,” “Fly Girls,” “High Life,” “Life Unexpected,” “Melrose Place,” “Smallville,” “Supernatural” and “Vampire Diaries.” The novela also made Univision the #2 network in the Monday through Friday 8pm to 9pm hour, out-delivering ABC, CBS, NBC and CW with 1.4 million Adults 18-34.

 

“Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money) and “Corazon Salvaje” (Wild Heart) helped Univision capture the #5 network ranking in their respective hours, Mon-Fri 8pm to 9pm and Mon-Fri 9pm to 10pm among Adults 18-49.

 

Monday night’s airing of “Cristina” entitled “Remembering Selena,” which commemorated the singer’s 15th anniversary of her death, attracted 1.5 million Adults 18-49 and 707,000 Adults 18-34, delivering +41% and +45% more viewers in these two demographic groups compared to the previous Monday’s telecast (03/22/10).

 

 

In celebration of the program’s 10th anniversary, Univision’s broadcast of a special milestone edition of “Aqui y Ahora” (Here and Now) on Tuesday night generated strong week to week audience growth across all key demographics including Total Viewers 2+ (+25), Adults 18-34 (+26%), Adults 18-49 (+28%), Men 18-49 (+19%) and Women 18-49 (+36%).

 

Univision had the top-rated television program on Friday night, “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money) among both Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.1 million).

 

Saturday night, “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #4 broadcast network among Teens 12-17 (90,000) with a +67% advantage over NBC.

 

The fourth telecast of Univision’s “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty), which featured the selection of the 12 finalists as well as a musical performance from David Bisbal, averaged 2.6 million Total Viewers 2+ and 1.2 million Adults 18-49 and delivered more Adults 18-34 viewers than the special airing of ABC’s “Brothers and Sisters.”
