Univision Communications has cooked up a deal with celebrity chef Ingrid Hoffmann to bring her and the popular “Delicioso” (Delicious) brand to the company’s various media platforms. Hoffmann and “Delicioso” will be featured in a range of new cooking segments and capsules across Univision’s TV, radio, mobile, cable and online platforms.

Offering viewers a new take on cooking, recipes and entertaining, the new segments will have Hoffmann appear in such places as popular Univision TV morning show “Despierta América” (Wake-up America), Univision Radio stations across the country and major cable providers via Univision on Demand vignettes. Univision.com will also feature Hoffmann and “Delicioso” on its online and mobile cooking site, available at www.UnivisionCocina.com. Users will be able to view show recaps and cooking tips online, read Hoffmann’s blog, and participate in contests.

In addition, the TeleFutura Network announced that it will air a new dynamic cooking show, “Delicioso,” hosted by Hoffmann, with cooking demonstrations and entertaining ideas. The one-hour show will celebrate the creation and enjoyment of meals, a central piece to true Hispanic traditions. “Delicioso” will launch on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 10:00 am ET/PT.

The first episode of “Delicioso” will celebrate Mexico’s Bicentennial and in honor of this historic anniversary for Mexico. Hoffman will cook a “Mole de Pollo Facilito” (Simple Chicken Mole), a key dish in Mexican cuisine. Joining her will be Emmy Award winning co-host of Univision’s “El Gordo y La Flaca” (The Scoop and the Skinny) and food blogger Raul de Molina as a special guest. Also in the studio will be decorator Martin Amado from Galavision’s “Decorando Contigo” (Decorating With You), who made over the “Delicioso” set and will give viewers tips on how to update a kitchen without having to do a full remodeling. Maggie Jiménez will also report on the Mexican Bicentennial celebrations and will go to Dallas in search of the roots of popular Tex-Mex food.

“With her culinary creativity, engaging personality, and cross-cultural appeal, Ingrid is the perfect person to be the primary face of Univision’s cooking and food lifestyle content and we are delighted that her talents will now be exclusive to Univision. ‘Delicioso’ will allow us to provide additional offerings across all of our platforms and further tap into the incredible passion our audiences have for culinary content,” said Cesar Conde, President, Univision Networks.

“I could not be more thrilled to join Univision and bring the ‘Delicioso’ brand directly into the homes of millions of Hispanic Americans across the country.  Combining the power and reach of Univision with the strength and growth potential of ‘Delicioso’ creates unlimited possibilities to offer our viewers,” said Hoffman.
