On a network level, Univision has had reports from crews on the ground in Haiti and is sending two Miami based crews, including “Noticiero Univision” (Univision Network News) weekend anchor Enrique Teutelo.  Footage will be featured through network programs, including “Despierta América” (Wake Up America), “Primer Impacto”(First Impact),  “Noticiero Univision” and “Ultima Hora” (The 12th Hour).

On a local level, the Univision Television Group is providing up-to-the minute coverage from Haiti and providing reactions from local Haitian communities across the U.S.  Each station has a special news report hosted by Univision’s Washington correspondent Fernando Pizarro that highlights President Obama’s reaction and U.S. plans to help provide relief to the victims of this disaster in Haiti. Reactions and relief efforts from local community leaders, local community groups and local politicians are also being included in the Haiti earthquake coverage.

Also, Univision and the American Red Cross have set up a toll-free number (1-800-842-2200) to help viewers join in and support the relief efforts for the victims. Univision stations are also leveraging their local sites on Univision.com to keep viewers up-to-date on the latest info and details related to the crisis in Haiti.
