Univision is set to finish the competitive May Sweep at No. 3 network in primetime among adults 18-34, beating CBS, NBC and all Cable networks.
 
Network Takes #1 Spot On Friday Nights Among All Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, Regardless of Language.

KMEX Univision 34 in Los Angeles is the #1 Station in Primetime in the Entire Country Among Adults 18-34, Regardless of Language.


The Univision Network announced today it is set to finish the competitive May 2010 Sweep as the #3 network in broadcast primetime (M-Sat 8pm-11pm, Su 7pm-11pm), beating CBS, NBC, CW and all cable networks, among all Adults 18-34 (1.1 million), not just Hispanics. Additionally, Univision ranked as the #1 network on Friday nights among all Adults 18-49 (2.2 million) and 18-34 (1.3 million), regardless of language. The network’s success continues to be driven by its primetime hit novela block which draws more viewers than a great number of popular English-language shows, among all Adults 18-49 and 18-34, not just Hispanics. In addition, according to Nielsen Station Index (NSI), during the May 2010 Sweep period, KMEX Univision 34 in Los Angeles was the most watched station in the entire country during primetime among all Adults 18-34, regardless of language. 
 
According to Nielsen’s National People Meter (NPM), Univision once again ranked as the 5th most-watched network in broadcast primetime (M-Sat 8pm-11pm, Su 7pm-11pm) among  Total Viewers 2+ (3.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.9 million), not just Hispanics.
 
Additional May Sweep Highlights
 
This May Sweep, Univision out-performed at least one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on four out of five nights (81% or 21 out of 26 nights) among Adults 18-34 and on one out of four nights (27% or 7 out of 26 nights) among Adults 18-49.
 
The network is reporting year over year audience increases among Adults 18-34 (+4% to 1.1 million) and Persons 12-34 (+3% to 1.3 million) during broadcast prime.
 
Univision’s 8pm novela, “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money) out-delivered many of the regularly-scheduled English-language television primetime programs such as:

Generated over 1.1 million more Total Viewers 2+ than its average audience in its three-month run including 688,000 more Adults 18-49, 493,000 more Adults 18-34 and 565,000 Persons 12-34 viewers.
