Univision Communications, Inc.It’s the morning show replacement for Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo: Translated, “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly,” is a music- intensive Regional Mexican radio show with a blend of humor, social sarcasm, and interviews. The show, hosted by the trio of Raul Molinar “El Bueno,” Sylvia del Valle “La Mala” and Andres Maldonado “El Feo,” premiered 12/2 in Los Angeles (the flagship is KSCA), Houston, San Antonio, El Paso and McAllen, TX.

“As our audiences’ preferences continue to evolve, we need to find new and creative ways to entertain and engage them,” said Evan Harrison, executive vice president, Content and Entertainment, Univision Radio. “El Bueno, La Mala, y el Feo is the answer — this incredibly dynamic team will really resonate with regional Mexican music lovers who also enjoy real people they can relate to.”

In July, Univision says it pulled Sotelo’s program from its schedule over allegations of sexual harassment, which Sotelo has denied. Sotelo now hosts a morning program on SiriusXM. Some say he was heading there anyway and Univision found out about it.

Since then, Univision filled the morning hours at KSCA with Regional Mexican tunes. Other Univision stations and affiliates in general had to find a replacement host such as LBI’s Don Cheto or play music as well.
