Univision Radio’s Molina Dead at 48

Alejandro-NietoUnivision’s new senior vice president and general manager of its radio division has died.


Published accounts in Spanish report Alejandro Nieto Molina died Monday in Miami of a heart attack. He was 48 years old.

Molina had just begun working in the newly-created position to lead the company’s 67 radio stations two weeks ago.

In a statement, Univision Chief Local Media Officer and Executive Vice President of Technology, Operations and Engineering John Eck said the company is “deeply saddened to learn the sudden loss of our colleague. He was new to the Univision family but many of us knew and respected him. His family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers.”

Moline came to Univision from Spain’s radio network Cadena SER, we reported. He began his career as a DJ and created successful formats in Colombia.
