Univision takes 3 of the Top 5 Programs in week 43 of ratings

For the week, Univision finished as the #2 broadcast network in overall prime among Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) and tied with ABC for the #2 position among Adults 18-49 (1.9 million).  Additionally, Univision continued to be the #1 network among Kids 2-11 (488,000) for the seventh consecutive week and #5 among and Total Viewers 2+ (3.5 million).


 Last week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX every night among Adults 18-34 and Teens 12-17, on 5 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49 and on 3 out of 7 nights among Total Viewers 2+.

 Univision had 3 of the Top 5 Programs  of the week among Adults 18-34; with “Soy Tu Dueña’s” (Woman of Steel) Tuesday night telecast being the 2nd most-watched program behind FOX’s MLB All Star Game.  Additionally, among Adults 18-49 Univision had 4 of the Top 20 program for the week.

 Univision saw increases  last week  compared to the same week a year ago across Total Viewers 2+ (+11%), Adults 18-49 (+10%) , Adults 18-34 (+14%) and Adults 25-54 (+8%); while CBS and FOX showed declines in these key demographics.

 In the 2010 July sweep-to-date, Univision is the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) and ranks #2, behind FOX, among Adults 18-49 (1.8 million).  The network has seen increases of +9% among A18-49 and +14% among Adults 18-34 versus the comparable period in the 2009 July Sweep.  Additionally, Univision has 11 of the 30 most-watched shows of the sweep-to-date among Adults 18-34 and 9 of the top 30 among Adults 18-49.
 
 On Thursday night, the largest number of artists and musical acts were showcased on Univision’s 7th Annual  “Premios Juventud” youth award show delivering audiences of 5.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.9 million Adults 18-34, 3.0 million Adults 18-49, 1.2 million Men 18-49, 1.7 million Women 18-49, 395,000 Teens 12-17 and 750,000 Kids 2-11.  The youth award show generated double digit increases across key demographics versus last year’s performance.

 For the night, “Premios Juventud” youth award show made Univision the #1 Broadcast Network in the country among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Men 18-49, Women 18-49, Teens 12-17, Kids 2-11 and came in at #3 among Total Viewers 2+; beating FOX, NBC and CW.  Additionally, Univision out-delivered its closest competitors, FOX and ABC, by margins of +86% among Adults 18-34 and +23% among Adults 18-49, respectively.
 
 “Premios Juventud” youth award show was the most watched  broadcast program on Thursday night among Adults 18-34 (1.9 million), Teens 12-17 (395,000) and ranked #3 among Adults 18-49 (3.0 million).

 On Friday night, Univision was the leader as the #1 ranked broadcast network in primetime among ALL Adults 18-49 (1.9 million), Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) and Teens 12-17 (170,000).  Among Total Viewers 2+ (3.5 million), Univision was the #4 ranked network of the night; out-delivered FOX and CW.
 
 The top two rated programs on Friday night among  Adults 18-34 were Univision’s #1 “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel) and #2 “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money).  Additionally, among Adults 18-49 and Teens 12-17 Univision had 2 of the top 3 programs on Friday night with #1 “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel) and #3 “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money).
 
 “Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #2 ranked network, behind FOX, on Saturday night among Adults 18-34 (421,000) and ranked #1 among Kids 2-11 (262,000).

 Sunday night’s “Desafio: La Gran Batalla” helped Univision attain the #3 ranking in the 8-10pm time period among Adults 18-34 (568,000); beating NBC & ABC.  For the night, the reality program also delivered more Adults 18-34 than ABC’s “Scoundrels” and “The Gates” among other programs.
