United Stations Radio Networks says that in his new role, Vulpi will lead a team of nearly a dozen USRN staffers nationwide dedicated to marketing the network’s numerous programming services to radio stations as well as to non-traditional distribution partners across the United States.

This personnel announcement is effective immediately and it comes from the company’s EVP, Charlie Colombo.

Frank Vulpi is a 30-year veteran of the broadcasting industry who got his start with CBS in both their television and radio divisions.  He was Account Executive for WYNY-FM, New York when it was owned by both NBC and Westwood One, and he eventually rose to become the General Sales Manager at that radio station.  In the mid-90s, Frank joined Bloomberg LP where he spent fifteen years rising through the ranks of Bloomberg’s Media Division.  He was elevated to department head overseeing all of Bloomberg Media Sales before taking on the added responsibility of running their Radio and Television Syndication departments.

Frank will be based in USRN’s New York headquarters.

In making the announcement, Charlie Colombo commented that, “Frank’s wealth of experience on both the station and the network side of the business is an incredible asset for our company as we march into 2014.  He understands the needs of our clients, he knows the new platforms and he knows how to develop and maintain those essential relationships with our affiliates at radio stations.  He’s joining an already successful team, and we’re extremely excited about his new role at USRN.”
