W Radio 690 AM unveils new programming

W Radio 690 AM SoCal has announced its new programming for the 2010-2011 season. Humor gains relevance in the mornings as Spanish language radio legend Humberto Luna takes morning drive. Starting 9/15, his show “Humberto Luna en W” – a combination of entertainment, news and humor – airs Monday to Friday from 6 to 9 am.


At 10 am, Dr. Elmer Huerta continues to answer our listeners’ health related questions and concerns in his show “Cita con el Doctor.”

At noon, one of the station’s top rated shows will continue: “La Voz del Pueblo” – a lively debate giving listeners a platform to discuss current issues affecting the Hispanic community, hosted by Juan Manuel Arenas.

Another novelty in W Radio’s season comes in the afternoon drive. Starting today, every day from 3 to 5 pm, Mirthala Salinas and her team of experts and special guests will discuss current issues and news items ranging from social and political issues to tabloid headlines and celebrity news in the new show “La Ventana.”

W Radio also continues as the flagship station for soccer in LA and San Diego. The station holds radio rights for Chivas de Guadalajara, Chivas USA, Copa Santander Libertadores, Copa Nissan Sudamericana and renowned Jorge Campo’s show, Fútbol Mexicano ¡Al día!
