WBCK-AM sold to Midwest; Richmond AM gets FM


MidwestMidwest Communications is buying Sports Talk WBCK-AM Battle Creek, MI from Current Radio for $175K. Current Radio is the Cumulus spinoff trust managed by broker Eddie Esserman.

Positive Alternative Radio is selling translator W246BZ (97.1) Crewe, VA to Gee Communications for $25K.  The translator will rebroadcast Gee’s AM 800 Classic Country WSVS-AM Crewe/Richmond, VA. It’s 38 watts @ 186 feet HAAT.

In other filings, EMF is selling FM translator W244CB (96.7) West Milford, WV to Araiza Revival Ministries for $40K. Positive Alternative Radio, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) organization that operates Christian Music radio stations in Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Eastern Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.
