WCAU-TV to air ACC Football on multicast channel

NBCUniversal’s WCAU Philadelphia has reached a deal with Raycom Sports/The ACC Network to air all 13 regular season ACC Football games on NBC Philadelphia Nonstop, the station’s digital multicast channel. The broadcasts will include the 12:00 pm pregame shows followed immediately by the games, which kick off at 12:30 pm.


The season starts Saturday, 9/3 with Appalachian State taking on Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. Other confirmed games include Rutgers at North Carolina on 9/10 and Duke at Boston College on 9/17. Remaining matchups will be determined as the season progresses.

“We are very pleased to have NBC 10 Philadelphia as our partner affiliate for ACC football for the 2011 season,” said George Johnson, SVP/Raycom Sports. “We have been working to expand the ACC Network’s footprint. This is a great station in an important television market. We are excited to kickoff this new partnership with NBC 10 Philadelphia.”
