Week 21: Univision enjoys Friday success

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of February 6, 2012 to February 12, 2012


* February sweeps to-date, Univision ranks as the #4 broadcast network among Adults 18-34 (out-delivering ABC) and has also posted audience increases among Adults 18-34 (+5%) and Adults 18-49 (+4%).

* Versus the comparable week a year ago, Univision’s  primetime audience grew +5% among Adults 18-49, while other English-language broadcast networks (ABC -2%, FOX -26%) reported declines. Univision’s audience also increased among Adults 18-34 (+5%) versus the same week a year ago. 

* Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) every night last week among Adults 18-34. 

* Airing “La Familia Con Suerte” at 8PM, Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network (based on M-F) among Adults 18-34. During that hour, “La Familia Con Suerte” attracted 4.4 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.3 Million Adults 18-49, and 1.3 Million Adults 18-34 viewers.

* During the 10PM hour (based on M-F), Univision aired “La Que No Podia Amar” and ranked as the #1 broadcast network among Adults 18-34. “La Que No Podia Amar” averaged 4.2 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.2 Million Adults 18-49, and 1.3 Million Adults 18-34 viewers.

* Airing its new primetime novela lineup, Univision kicked off the week as the #3 network among Adults 18-34 on Monday night.  Univision’s primetime programming including “La Familia Con Suerte” “El Talismán.” and “La Que No Podia Amar” ranked among the top 15 programs for the night among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

* Univision held the #2 position on Tuesday night among Adults 18-34 with its primetime lineup, with all 3 programs (“La Familia Con Suerte” “El Talismán.” and “La Que No Podia Amar”) ranking among the top 15 programs for the night among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

* On Wednesday night Univision ranked as the #3 network among Adults 18-34 and ranked as the #4 network among Adults 18-49, out-delivering NBC in both demographics.

* Univision was the #1 network on Friday night among Adults 18-34 and ranked as #3 among Adults 18-49.
* Univision’s entire primetime line-up including “La Familia Con Suerte” “El Talismán.” and “La Que No Podia Amar,” ranked within the top five programs Friday night among Adults 18-34.
* In the current season Univision has been the #1 Network on Friday nights 90% of the time (19 out of 21 weeks) among Adults 18-34, more than any other broadcast network.

* Univision ranked as the #4 network among Adults 18-49 and #3 among Adults 18-34 on Saturday night.  Airing at 8PM, “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) attracted 2.8 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.1 Million Adults 18-49, and 497,000 Adults 18-34 viewers to rank among the top 10 programs for the night in the respective demographics. 

* On Sunday night, opposite the 2nd highest rated Grammys ever, Univision ranked #4 among Adults 18-34, mainly due to “Parodiando’s” strong performance.  “Parodiando” delivered its highest viewership to date, attracting 3.3 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 Million Adults 18-49, and 943,000 Adults 18-34 and ranked among the top 15 programs for the night in the respective demographics.  Also, “Parodiando” grew over last week’s telecast among Total Viewers 2+ (+13%), Adults 18-49 (+14%), and Adults 18-34 (+1%).
