Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of April 9, 2012 to April 15, 2012

  • Univision was the #2 network during primetime last week among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC (+22%), CBS (+26%), and NBC (+16%)

This marks the fourth consecutive week that Univision has delivered more Adults 18-34 viewers than ABC and CBS.

For the eleventh time out of the last twelve weeks Univision has ranked #3 or higher among A18-34.

  • Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on four out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-49.  Univision also out-delivered two or more of the English-Language broadcast networks on six out of seven nights among Adults 18-34.

Based on the current 2011/2012 season to date, Univision has out-performed NBC during broadcast prime 78% of the time (163 out of 210 days) among Adults 18-34 and 52% of the time (109 out of 210 days) among Adults 18-49.

Additionally Univision has out-performed ABC on 58 nights, CBS on 31 nights, and FOX on 54 nights among Adults 18-49. Furthermore among Adults 18-34, Univision has out-performed ABC on 119 nights, CBS on 130 nights, and FOX on 76 nights.

  • Airing “Una Familia Con Suerte” at 8PM, Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network (based on M-F) among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC (+41%), NBC (+18%), and CBS (+4%) for the hour. The 8PM novela increased its audience versus the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (4.2 Million,+6%), 2.1 Million Adults 18-49 (2.2 Million, +4%), and Adults 18-34 viewers (1.2 Million, +3%.)
  • Univision’s 9PM novela “Abismo de Pasion” (Abyss of Passion) delivered its highest audience since premiere week. The novela averaged 4.3 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.2 Million Adults 18-49, and 1.2 Million Adults 18-34 viewers.
  • During the 10PM hour (based on M-F), Univision aired “La Que No Podia Amar.”  Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-49 and ranked #1 among Adults 18-34, out delivering ABC and NBC in both demographics.
  • On Tuesday night Univision held the #3 position among Adults 18-34, out delivering ABC (+50%) and CBS (+40%). Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 15 programs in both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 demographics
  • Univision rose to the #4 position on Wednesday night among Adults 18-49 and maintained its #3 rank among Adults 18-34, beating NBC in the respective demographics. Its entire primetime lineup, including “Una Familia Con Suerte,” “Abismo de Pasion” and “La Que No Podia Amar,” ranked among the top 15 programs for the night in both demographics.
  • On Thursday night Univision ranked as the #2 network among Adults 18-34 and sustained its #4 position among Adults 18-49. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 15 programs for the night and also out delivered NBC for the second consecutive night in both demographics.
  • Univision was the #1 network on Friday night among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

Univision’s entire primetime line-up including “Una Familia Con Suerte,” “Abismo de Pasion,” and “La Que No Podia Amar” ranked as the top three programs Friday night among Adults 18-34 and among top five programs among Adutls 18-34.

In the current season Univision has been the #1 Network on Friday nights 87% of the time (26 out of 30 weeks) among Adults 18-34 more than any other broadcast network.

  • On Saturday night Univision out-delivered NBC as the #3 network among Adults 18-34 and #4 network among Adults 18-49.  “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) attracted 2.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 800,000 Adults 18-49, and 362,000 Adults 18-34 viewers to rank among the top 10 programs for the night in the respective demographics.  Sabado Gigante also posted week-to-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+2%).
  • On Sunday night Univision ranked #2 among Adults 18-34, beating ABC (+18%), NBC (+3%), and CBS (+13%).

On Sunday night at 7PM Univision aired “Rosa de Guadalupe” and  attracted 1.9 Million Total Viewers 2+, 748,000 Adults 18-49, and 351,000 Adults 18-34.

Following “Rosa de Guadalupe,” Univision aired the seventh episode of the “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (“Our Latin Beauty”).  The beauty competition increased it audience compared to the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (3.7 Million, +7%), Adults 18-49 (1.8 Million, +*%), Adutls 18-34 (947,000, +17%).  “Nuestra Belleza Latina” continues to outpace its prior season performance to date among Total Viewers 2+ (+9%), Adults 18-49 (+7%), and Adults 18-34 (+1%).
